George Knight

George is Managing Partner of Penumbra. He founded the firm in 2004 to help organisations build corporate value with customised, cross-functional programmes which deliver improved performance. His career has encompassed Consultancy, Corporate Planning, Sales, Marketing and Advertising, with experience gained in consulting, agency and client firms. He holds a degree in International Marketing, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, an Associate Member of the Market Research Society and a Harvard Business Review Advisory Council Member.
Ruth McNeil

Ruth is a Senior Partner and heads up the Research and Insight practice and has a varied background in both Marketing and Market Research. She is a Fellow of the Market Research Society. Her work has spanned the international spectrum with a particular focus on research with business. She has written a book entitled Business to Business Market Research, Understanding and Measuring Business Markets which was published by Kogan Page for the Market Research Society.
Christopher Rudolf

Christopher is a Senior Partner and leads the Operational Implementation and Alignment practice, working with the others in the team, mapping operational change and communicating with the management and workforce to help implement systems and practical day-in-the-life changes. His career has encompassed Sales and Advertising, Software Development and Software Project Management , Consultancy in Strategic Alignment and Corporate Planning, with experience gained in consulting and client firms.
Khalid M Al-Ghamdi

Khalid is a Partner and General Manager of our Middle East and North Africa operations. He trained in business finance in the US, and has been involved in many businesses throughout the world. He has a quick and alert mind that can identify issues and problems while they still can be managed. His excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills make him a key member of the Penumbra team.

Professor Robin Stuart-Kotze is a Senior Advisor to Penumbra Consulting and Chairman of Behavioural Science Systems Limited. His impressive career track record includes investment banking, being a bestselling author, a corporate strategist and consultant to governments, institutions and businesses.
Chris Dunn

Chris Dunn is a Senior Adviser to Penumbra Consulting and a Partner with Behavioural Science Systems Ltd. His past professional and entrepreneurial background includes an HR career specialising in senior line HR roles and in staff roles as a specialist management development / OD professional. His entrepreneurial background includes the setting up of three professional service organisations covering transition / outplacement and coaching services, enterprise and franchise consulting, and the design and creation of customised behaviour-based diagnostics. He currently consults on talent management / development strategies, coaches and specialises in designing strategies to release enterprise potential in large corporations.
Chris Norris

Chris Norris is an Associate of Penumbra. His career spans buying roles at J Sainsbury plc, at British Airways he was on a structured graduate development programme in procurement and supply. At 27 he was the youngest senior manager appointee when he assumed responsibility for the airline’s retail activities. He spent some time with Accenture before joining the private equity rescue of telecoms company Energis led by Archie Norman. Chris is a dynamic consultant with extraordinary communication skills, who specialises in making change happen in very complex environments.
Ranjit Mene

Ranjit has 14 years of experience in a truly global business environment, encompassing large multinationals (Suez Environment), small start-ups (I2O Water), and global strategy consulting firms (Booz & Company). He has a 1st Class degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London, and ENSIGC, France & an MBA from INSEAD. He is a Chartered Engineer and corporate member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers. He is Fluent in French and passable in Marathi.
Ranjit has extensive experience of international business development and strategy consulting in the energy, chemicals, and utilities space. He is a proven leader with a strategic mindset who brings a vision and diligence that complements the Penumbra team perfectly.
Neil Smith

Neil is an Associate and Advisor to Penumbra, he is a commercially driven and versatile business leader, known for making a massive difference to the bottom-line. Having added £bn’s in shareholder value to FTSE & Fortune 100 companies, Neil now helps Penumbra clients get more out of their procurement. Neil holds business Masters and Bachelor degrees, is a 21 year Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and widely recognised in the world of procurement as a leading light.

Yannick Thoorens
Yannick as a special advisor to Penumbra, whose background in Supply Chain and expertise in green technologies makes him an ideal member of our team. He also has strong analytical skills, is a great team member and his skills in understanding complex financial systems are comprehensive.
Mathieu Weyers
Mathieu is an Associate of Penumbra who has unrivalled skills and experience in complex financial configurations across enterprises. Mathieu has worked with many global Blue Chip organisations and has spent time as a consultant at Accenture. He is a fully qualified SAP expert with the ability to drill down into the detail as well as manage the top level objectives. His ability to communicate complex issues and drive simple solutions is a skill that we value at Penumbra.
Kevin Walsh
Kevin is an Expert Advisor to Penumbra, bringing extensive experience from FMCG and Mobile Telecoms sectors to bear on our projects. His 20 years experience in strategic intelligence and corporate finance involves development of industry-wide market forecasts, setting up of global-intelligence people-networks and building advanced data capture and analysis processes to drive and challenge strategic thinking in blue chip companies.
This holistic approach to corporate intelligence enables companies to move rapidly from strategy creation to implementation and objective business monitoring.

Chris Turner
Chris Turner is a Senior Technical Advisor to Penumbra, who has exceptional technical execution skills with a career track record that covers a wide breadth of industries. The projects he works on extend into the multi-million pound range, for extremely large and complex applications. Chris brings to the Penumbra Operations team skills in Whole Project Lifecycle: Inception, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment and Support.
He has worked with many organisations in a Senior Project Manager role which is supported by an exceptionally strong and up-to-date technical background.
His experience encompasses a variety of market sectors including Accounting, Distribution, HealthCare Public and Private Sector Delivery of robust, secure and scalable solutions.

James Tollan
James is a long time friend and Associate of Penumbra. He has spent most of his career as a consultant providing a whole range of skills to bear on complex technical projects for an unrivaled list of Blue chips. He has an excellent analytical mind with an aptitude to abstract complex real world problems and place them into the context of structured systems. Has a practical hands-on approach and perseveres in order to obtain the optimum results in a pragmatic fashion. James' excellent negotiation and problem solving skills, with the ability to swiftly get to the root of any issue swiftly and offer an effective value added solution.
Martin Beard

Strategic Partner Martin Beard is a true direct marketing (DM) man, he has been having the ideas and beating control packs for over 20 years. Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather Direct for 5 years, he then went on to found Beard Hawkins Direct, which became the 4th largest DM agency in the UK. Winner of a BDMA Gold, 5 BDMA Category winners, among many others.
Martin helps us work closely with our clients to develop an intimate understanding of their business from the ground up. This allows us to write briefs that truly help their business by answering their needs strategically and creatively. Adrian Henry

Adrian is an Associate in our London office. He was Director of Business Development at Exporters Insurance where he was responsible for client, broker and bank relationships in the UK and the broader EU. Previously he worked with Aon where, for six years, was a highly successful producing broker concentrating on large trade credit and political risk relationships.
He is as an expert consultant in Risk Assessment, Loss Adjustment and Underwriting, and supports some of our key business areas. Adrian is highly motivated, innovative in his approach to business ideas and brings some key skills, experience and talents that our clients like to take advantage of.
